For the purpose of this argument, U could think of GOVERNMENT AT ALL LEVELS—LOCAL, STATE/PROVINCIAL, and NATIONAL—as analogous to business. It is not intended to provide a thorough analogy or highlight differences, but rather to make a point.
LOCAL(CITY/TOWN) provides public services like water, sewerage, waste etc. STATE provides infrastructure etc. UNION/FEDERAL provides National Defense etc. GOVERNMENTS generate income primarily through taxes. LOCAL collects PROPERTY TAXES. STATE collects SALES TAX / VAT / GST. UNION/FEDERAL collects INCOME TAX, EXCISE, and TARIFFS.
This is a SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIP. CITIZENS at all levels provide TAXES, LABOR and INNOVATION for the services they receive from the GOVERNMENT. BUSINESSES at all levels provide JOBS and ECONOMIC GROWTH, TAX REVENUE, and INNOVATION & GOODS/SERVICES. If U are a BUSINESS U act as an ECONOMY BOOSTER. Any GOVERNMENT would welcome U with open arms. THEREFORE, U don't have to take any crap from UNETHICAL GOVERNMENTS AND THEIR UNDUE DEMANDS. U can move your property and business to other STATES that provide more ETHICAL GOVERNANCE.
There is an IMPORTANT CAVEAT in this regard that U should ALWAYS REMEMBER & KEEP IN UR MIND. In the context of INDIA, the concept of UNION is more in line with EU—not constitutionally but the way it works in reality—than with the concept of FEDERAL GOVERNMENT of US. This duality should be taken very seriously, because this SECRET, TACIT UNDERSTANDING between STATE GOVERNMENTS form sort of a CARTEL. This CARTEL siphons off resources as a FEDERATION while each member STATE simultaneously works to further its own agenda as if it were an independent country. This could and would, in the long run, potentially undermine U and UR life and UR existence. Now let's continue with the argument.
There is also a MORAL COMPACT beyond BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS. STATE & LOCAL GOVERNMENTS expect LEGAL COMPLIANCE. UNION/FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, in addition, expects LOYALTY especially if you are a CITIZEN of the COUNTRY. LAWS must be fair, justifiable within CONSTITUTIONAL and MORAL FRAMEWORKS and rooted in established LEGAL PRINCIPLES. When LAWS are unjust or violate FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS, TOLERANCE becomes COMPLICITY. Question? | ENGAGE! DISSENT is not DISLOYALTY. If the GOVERNMENTS engage in undue demands that encroach on your rights and liberties, DO NOT TOLERATE. Question? | ENGAGE!
