The Concept of Defensive Prejudice — or, very informally, Defensive Hate
Firstly, if one has to informally and casually define the above precise terminology for ease of its remembrance and its meaning, it could be defined as Defensive Hate: hatred that triggers a defense mechanism rather than proactive malice.
Secondly, this definition provides the background, a starting point, and the context for elaborating on it.
Before we begin, I would like to state that there is no intention to start a series of updates, as we have brought it to an indefinite intermission couple of months ago.
Let me brief you on the process of creating a write-up: Identifying the topic to write on that is relevant and fits in the overall scheme of things. Going over the points in the head to elaborate on, much before getting next to the computer. Researching on the points in the head. The toughest part is how to begin on the topic. Once you get past this its time to cook the meat of the paper all the while keeping the relevance alive. This, most of the time, takes days from conception to completion.
Quite sure it must have crossed your mind — why am I saying this now. Well — if any of what has been written so far finds relevance in your life and benefits you and keeps you safe in any way — it would give us great satisfaction that it was worth the effort after all.
Now to the topic:
The Concept of Defensive Prejudice — or, very informally, Defensive Hate
Hatred that triggers a defense mechanism rather than proactive malice.
Precisely — in social or political contexts, it describes prejudice or animosity that is justified internally as “protecting one’s identity, values, or group.”
I was always mindful of situations arising out of hatred and the vulnerability it creates and wanted to write about it, but for want of time and other engagements could not get around to do it until now.
So let's begin:
In our day-to-day life we come across or meet people: some are family; friends or enemies; some are acquaintances or even devils in disguise. While avoiding the hidden demons seem to be the best policy, it is not always possible and also not practical.
At the same time, we hear every now and then that it is not proper to hate; dislike is quite common and quite acceptable.
It can only be emphasized over and over again; it does not apply to the snakes in the grass. Their ideology and the way the minds of their offspring are molded, give them the edge and the advantage when they engage with the people or group they hate.
They come well prepared for an engagement and even if accidental, their well-developed instincts preps them up. They greet you with a smile and while this puts you off guard their mind is well prepared to carry out their malevolent objectives and take advantage of the situation.
Some time ago, it was hinted on one of the pages that the perpetrator may have limited intelligence but the mastermind/s is devilishly intelligent. He has at his disposal a set of good-for-nothing resources that he uses to cause unnecessary intrusion, delay, and discomfort in your life as you diligently go about your day-to-day activity. You remain completely oblivious of this mental and physical harm and dismiss it as chance and unintentional. This is where the single-minded focus, devilish genius, and the access and ability , to manipulate the administrative and law-enforcement machinery, of the mastermind/s comes into play.
Meanwhile, your uncertainty puts in a very vulnerable position. Precisely — where the Concept of Defensive Prejudice comes to your rescue in any situation. You could think of this as a derivative of "an eye for an eye"
Picture this: if you apply the Concept of Defensive Prejudice and your mind — and your offspring's mind are trained and molded to identify the individual or group, your instincts will become just as sharp. You become mindful of the interactions, and quite naturally you would begin keeping a summarized mental picture of engagements with them. Eventually — a conscious realization emerges what once seemed like chance or unintentional is, in fact, concerted targeting of the community from all angles — social, professional, business, and political. It does not stop there, in a broader context you begin to notice self-serving modifications to well-established legal and financial frameworks to weaken and undermine the community. You then move to heightened state of alertness, and from then on, it is head-to-head, eye-to-eye, hand-to-hand, shake. Then, it is time for you to engage them with a sneer.
But let's take it one step further. Most — "not always" — malevolent objectives are not physical but rather to keep you imbalanced to satisfy the inner agonizing feeling or achieve an ulterior motive. If you can transform your Defensive Prejudice into Businesslike Professionalism, you could be protected at all times while also achieving your objectives, if you so choose to.
Moreover, you will then soon realize how instinctively and effortlessly you can factor in this Defensive Prejudice into your life — from Socializing to Professional settings to Business to Politics — when forming your Strategic and Tactical Decision to avoid traps and out-maneuver the thought behind the mask. With proper planning, you can even get even and outsmart the mastermind/s.
This requires continuous vigilance, effective communication, and strong unity and coordination within the community.
